Netprofiler
About
Write network settings into config files.
Netprofiler saves the settings of network devices into files with appropriate names for each device
into a folder with a name specified by the user. These are called netprofiles. It is then easy to
change the network settings to those saved in the profiles.
Netprofiler is released under the GNU Public License version 3 or any higher version if available.
This program is listed on freshmeat.
There is an netprofiler ebuild though it is not yet in the portage tree.
Updates
Version 1.0.3
This is only a tiny fix for the install script. I also changed the license to the GPLv3. If you use this program and enjoy it
please send me an email to gnarlin a-t utopia dot is.
Version 1.0.2
A whole version jump. When I was just about to release version 1.0.1 I found to my suprise that someone had made a patch
for netprofiler which included some bugfixes and new features, but since I had also been working on my version the patch did not
apply very cleanly to version 1.0.1 so I went through to patch and rewrote what was necessary to add those new fixes and features.
The patch was written by Bogdan Duda. This individual has also
written a gui profile selector which can be found
here.
Version 1.0
I am happy to anounce that 1.0 is finished. I have tested it on debian stable and gentoo.
Version 0.9.9
Please don't use this version. It's broken. Use 0.9.8 instead. I've already fixed the problem in netprofiler-current but I'm
waiting for a little more feedback before I release 1.0 just to make damn sure that the same thing doesn't happen again.
Thanks for the bug reports.
